Recently, the UNICEF France made an announcement that they will now onwards accept the cryptocurrencies for donations. As per the sources, they took this step to expand their circle of donors. In their announcement, they also mentioned the nine cryptocurrencies that they will accept a donation. These 9 cryptocurrencies include – Bitcoin, Ripple, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, EOS, Monero, Litecoin, Dash, and Stellar.

The executive director of UNICEF, France also mentioned that the blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies have actually made a huge difference by providing the humanitarian world with an opportunity to be innovative and progressive.

This news of the UNICEF seems to be driven by the success of GameChaingers this February, where they launched an initiative to help the needy kids in war-torn Syria by asking all the gamers for their computing resources to mine the cryptocurrency.
