Rosetta Coffee Company Now Accepts Cryptocurrency

While e-commerce is at its all-time high and evolving rapidly, security issues, payment delays, expensive transactional fees, and intense competition pose a big barrier to entry for small businesses. The introduction of crypto e-commerce is believed by many to help small businesses like Rosetta Coffee overcome the barrier.

Recently, Rosetta Coffee, a specialty coffee roaster brand based in Lynchburg, Virginia, USA, rolled out a cryptocurrency payment option for their online customers. Cryptocurrency transactions go through Shopping Cart Elite, an advanced e-commerce platform designed specifically for cryptocurrency. As of today, customers can pay in the company’s online store with Bitcoin Diamond (BCD, Bitcoin (BTC), Dash (DASH), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), and Zcoin (XZC).

Rosetta Coffee Company has been roasting and distributing specialty coffee in the US southeast since 2006.

The company is excited to have partnered with Shopping Cart Elite to accept cryptocurrency as a payment method on their website. “You’ll be able to buy freshly roasted, amazing coffees without having to exchange for cash. We are excited that cryptocurrency allows us to start offering our coffee to new international customers, knowing that the purchase is guaranteed no matter which country they are located in,” said Aaron Skeen, a co-founder of Rosetta Coffee, as reported by NewsWire. He believes the move will improve shopping experience for their customers.

Rosetta Coffee emphasized that farmers will also directly benefit from the introduction of cryptocurrency support. Mr. Skeen says cryptocurrency allows farmers to receive payment directly and immediately without paying a middleman. “They will be able to take home more of what they earn.” Currently, the company is working with farmers to streamline this process and make it more accessible.

Being able to accept crypto payments can also boost Rosetta Coffee’s international expansion. Chargebacks, a big issue when exporting internationally, forced the company to cut off all potential international clients. Since cryptocurrency transactions are immutable and irreversible, Rosetta Coffee can sell its products virtually to any location in the world without risk.

“We’ve always been restricted from selling to international customers due to poor merchant protection from Visa and Mastercard,” said Mr. Skeen. “…Cryptocurrency allows us to start offering our coffee to new international customers, knowing that the purchase is guaranteed no matter which country they are located in.”
